In September 2025, the GB Grass Ski Circuit 2025 was held in Naltar Valley, Gilgit‑Baltistan — bringing a burst of excitement and competitive spirit to Pakistan’s emerging grass‑ski scene. The event attracted 23 athletes from multiple associations, all eager to test their skills on grassy slopes under sunny skies.
The Circuit featured two main events mirroring traditional alpine ski formats, but adapted for grass slopes: Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS) and Giant Slalom (GS). On the day of competition:
In GS, Sajjad Ahmed (GB Scouts) emerged as champion, with Nazeer Shah (GB Scouts) finishing second, while Saif Ullah and Abdul Razaq (both from Pakistan Air Force — PAF) shared the third-place spot.
In PGS, Waqar (GB Scouts) claimed first place, followed by Nazeer Shah (GB Scouts) in second, and Sajjad Ahmed (GB Scouts) taking third.
The success of the 2024–25 FIS Cross-Country Ski Races in Pakistan highlights the nation’s potential to become a hub for winter sports. With homegrown athletes achieving top performances and international standards being met on local terrain, the Rattu events represent a turning point — blending competitive excellence with the country’s natural landscapes, and setting the stage for future international winter sporting events.
The competition was wrapped up with a medal ceremony that celebrated not just speed and skill but also sportsmanship, community support, and the growing potential of adventure sports in GB.
