The Pakistan Army plays an important role in the development of winter sports as an affiliated department of the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan (WSFP). Leveraging Pakistan’s mountainous terrain, the Army actively supports training, infrastructure, and athlete development in winter sports disciplines.

A key contribution of the Pakistan Army is the annual hosting of FIS Cross Country Races, organized in accordance with the standards of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). These events provide Pakistani athletes with valuable international exposure and opportunities to earn FIS points.

Through its continued involvement, the Pakistan Army significantly contributes to the growth and recognition of winter sports in Pakistan.
