A high-altitude Karakoram marathon was conducted from 31 August, 2024 to 02 September, 2024.

The Karakoram Challenge, divided into three categories, started from the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and runners made their way through Passu Cones and crossed the line at the starting point, after covering a distance of 21.1 kilometers.

Over 300 local and foreign athletes participated in a high-altitude marathon.

Faizan Faiz won the first position in the 21km male category by completing the distance in 1 hour 20 minutes 11 seconds.

Khush Amdeen got the second position, while Akram stood third.

In the 21km female category, Anja Myrtveit from Sweden took first place after crossing the line in 1 hour, 57 minutes and 18 seconds. Humira and Flora secured second and third positions, respectively.

In the 10km male category, Zohaib Shahid won the first position by covering the distance in 37.27 minutes. Waqar Ahmad and Omar Zaman won the second and third positions, respectively.

In the female category, Nada Karim secured the first position by covering the distance in 56.53 minutes.

Traditional musicians and artists regaled the spectators with their performance during the closing ceremony.
